To mark the 50th anniversary of the introduction of decimal currency in Australia, the Reserve Bank curated an exhibition in 2016. It displayed artefacts related to the design of the vibrant new decimal currency banknotes, and showcased materials from the public education campaign that supported this radical change to the transactions made daily in the nation.
